The Steve Boyce Band formed in 1977 with bass player Rick Luck and played many clubs in the Southeast, including the legendary Target Club in Reading. The inevitable line-up changes followed but despite a record deal (that subsequently fell through) they disbanded in 1980 feeling disenchanted with the music business. A one-off gig in 1997 followed, then another gap til 2007, when Steve reformed some of the original line-up, entered a Virgin Radio competition, won, and opened for Eric Clapton at Hyde Park.
