Solstice were formed in 1980 by Andy Glass and violinist Marc Elton, split, reformed, split again and reformed in 2007, this time with Jenny Newman playing violin. In the meantime Pete Hemsley joined on drums and Emma Brown on vocals, both during the nineties. In 2011 they released their eighth album, 'Spirit'. Fast forward to 2022 and the band still includes Steven McDaniel on leyboards and Robin Phillips on bass, with new vocalist Jess Holland and a varying array of backing singers!
