Pat McManus formed his first band aged 20 with two of his brothers. Due to their youthful
appearance, the were jokingly called Mama's Boys and the name stuck. This band toured
Ireland and the UK and supported Thin Lizzy and Wishbone Ash, later touring the USA
with Bon Jovi and the UK with Deep Purple, continuing until 1993.
From 2000 onwards Pat toured with various musicians under a number of names, but eventually
they became simply the Pat McManus Band, with Paul Faloon on drums and Mart McDermott
on bass, and with a number of albums to their credit. He still plays fiddle at lives
gigs, having been All-Ireland champion at 14!
