A Bit About The Band

PFM began life as Quelli in Italy in the sixties and included drummer Franz Di Ciocci, before being taking the name Premiata Fornoria Marconi when Maaro Pagani joined them. In their early days they supported Yes and Deep Purple before being noticed by Greg Lake and being signed to the Manticore label. From 1972 to 1984 they released a dozen albums, and now have 30+ to their name, including some reworkings of their earlier recordings with the recent band and modern technology. They remain Italy's premier progressive rock band.
