Mostly Autumn

A Bit About The Band

Mostly Autumn have been described as a classic or progressive rock band, formed in 1996 by guitarist, vocalist and main songwriter Bryan Josh. They have released eleven studio albums, plus some live albums and DVDs.

Whilst they have had a number of members their line-up usually comprises between six and eight musicians, most of whom are also involved with other bands. For most of that time they have featured keyboard player Iain Jennings apart from when he took a break to form his own band Breathing Space with (then) Mostly Autumn backing singer Olivia Sparnenn. Bassist Andy Smith has been almost ever present and for many years they featured vocalist Heather Findlay before she left to form her own band, with Olivia Sparnenn taking over. Keyboard, flute and backing vocals have swapped between Angela Gordon and Anne-Marie Helder of Panic Room, with drum seat being filled at different tikmes by Andrew Jennings, Gavin Griffiths (also of Panic Room), Alex Cromarty (fromHeather Findlay's band) and others. They've also switched between Liam Davison and Chris Johnson. There have been others, too!

They have toured extensively, and played the second High Voltage festival in London, as well as Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, and most recently supporting Rainbow at their only UK reformation event - but are mostly to be seen headlining medium sized clubs and theatres.
