Concert Photography Plus

Focus formed at the start of the 1970s, and were very successful in their early days with, in particular, albums Moving Waves and Focus III and hit singles Hocus Pocus and Sylvia; indeed they were (still are?) the only band to have two instrumental singles in the UK top 40 at the same time (if you don't count yodelling!). Guitarist Jan Akkerman left soon after, but keyboard/flute player Thijs Van Leer remains and drummer Pierre Van Der Linden has returned and is joined by Menno Gootjes on guitar and Udo Pannakeet who has replaced Bobby Jacobs on bass.

They were the first band I saw live, at Bracknell Sports Centre on January 13th, 1973.
