A Bit About The Band

The Chris Bevington Organisation started out as Chris Bevington and Friends - with two albums released under that name containing a mixture of original songs and a handful of good, blues covers thrown in though not necessarily obvious ones.

Chris has been playing the blues since the age of 15 - but not many bass players form bands so it took 35 years for him to call on his numerous (well connected) friends and put a band together. Such is the regard for Chris that it all came together and they now record and tour in this format.

In addition to Chris, the band includes (most of the time!) two guitarist/vocalists - Scott Ralph and FM's Jim Kirkpatrick, with Dave Edwards (keys), Neil McCallum (drums), Mike Yorke (sax), Adrian Gibson (brass) and backing vocals from Kate Robertson and Sarah Miller.

By late 2021 and with many personnel also having other commitments, the line-up underwent a huge transformation with only Dave remaining. They now feature Jordan Swann and John Thorrington on guitar, Stephanie Edwards (vocals), Phil Carter (drums), Ben Oakes (sax), Lewis Topping (trombone) with Loxi Abbott and Ruby Brocklehurst on backing vocals.
