A Bit About The Band

Formed in San Diego in 2009 but conceived as far back as 2006, Astra are intent on bringing the Mellotron to the ears of a new, and even a younger audience. They mix Moogs and Mellotrons with guitars in a psychedelic swirl, backed with Mahavishnu-like drums that brings Jon Hiseman to mind.
